We are so excited to have you out to Utah! We can’t wait to show you why we love calling this place home.

Our hope is that this can be an excuse for a mountain getaway weekend as well. We’ll be putting together suggested activities for Saturday/Sunday if you choose to stay in the area for the full weekend. September is one of the more beautiful months in SLC – perfect weather for hiking and mountain biking, including lift-access for both at our wedding location!

Please Note: All events on Thursday + Friday will be children-free, including welcome drinks + all wedding day events. We love your kids, but kindly ask that you find a babysitter for the evenings. Please let us know if you need help finding one in the area, we’d be happy to assist!

Lodging

Places to Stay:

Solitude Mountain Resort

We strongly recommend staying up at Solitude Mountain Resort to be close to the ceremony and walking distance from the welcome drinks/after party. Not to mention, the temperatures should be lovely and the foliage colorful – we hope you can find time to play on the trails while you’re here!

We have an exclusive lodging discount to book directly through Solitude Mountain Resort (two night minimum required for the discount to work). These are townhomes, condos + hotel rooms managed directly by Solitude Mountain Resort. Some of these are double-listed on Airbnb, but discount can only be applied when booking directly through link below:

There are plenty of similar options on Airbnb as well! These will be owner-operated or privately managed vacation rentals, so no discount option here, but more great options to choose from. Please find some Airbnb suggestions in wishlist below:

*Note: Some of the lodging options may be located in the town of Brighton, but please note that “Brighton Mountain Resort” is a separate entity from “Solitude Mountain Resort”. Booking a place at Brighton Mountain Resort will require you to drive down to Solitude Mountain Resort (5-10 min).

Salt Lake City Area

You do not have to stay up Big Cottonwood Canyon — there are more options within the Salt Lake City area that would be about 30-45 minutes away from the mountain as well. We suggest searching for places within Cottonwood Heights, Millcreek or Holladay if you plan to stay down in the valley.

Flying

SLC (Salt Lake City International Airport) is about a 45 minute drive to Solitude Mountain Resort.

Getting around

We suggest renting a car to explore the area, but there are options with Uber/Lyft ride-sharing services that could get you to the mountain. Please note it may be a bit difficult to call a ride home at the end of the night if you are choosing to stay down in SLC, so we’d suggest scheduling a car ahead of time.
